A construction company in Centerville that has been building on Cape Cod since 2005, under two names and one idea about how to spend a client's money.
In the founder's own words
I founded Hostetter Homes in 2005 after moving back from California with my father. We initially completed a few spec projects together. However, when the 2007-2008 financial crisis hit, we decided to leverage our team and resources to help others build their dream homes. Unfortunately, two years later, my father passed away quickly from a brain tumor. Our time as partners was short-lived, but he instilled in me the importance of value: don't overspend; invest appropriately to gain equity and preserve value. That's the perspective I bring to all my projects, treating each one as if it were my own.
After 10 years in business, it became clear that the company's success wasn't solely about me, but about the incredible team I had assembled. In 2014, we changed our name to Complete Home Group to better reflect the individuals within our company and the array of services we provide: construction, property management, and landscaping. Today, I'm proud to say that many of those key members are still part of our team.
Why the company is shaped this way
Most contractors do one thing. This one does three, and the reason is the 2014 rename rather than a marketing decision made later. A builder who also holds the grounds contract and also holds the keys ends up knowing a house in a way that a series of separate trades never does. When a ceiling stains in February, the person who comes to look at it is the person who put the roof on.
On Cape Cod that matters more than it would inland, because so many of the houses are used for part of the year. A problem in an occupied house gets noticed in a day. The same problem in a house nobody visits between October and May gets noticed in May, by which point it is a different repair. That gap is the whole argument for property management sitting beside construction rather than at another company.
The pricing position, stated plainly
The company's published position on money is short: do not overspend, put the money where it gains equity and preserves value, and treat the project as if it were your own. In practice that means being willing to talk a client out of something, and being specific about which parts of a job are worth paying for and which are not.
It is also the part of the business that customers themselves mention. Two of the five published Google reviews carry Google's own price note — "Great price" and "Reasonable price" — which is not something the business writes about itself. How work gets priced sets out what actually drives the number on a Cape house.
What this site does not claim
There are no awards listed here, no certifications, no crew size and no project count, because none of those has been documented. The licence numbers will appear on the licensing page once they have been confirmed against the state registry rather than a third-party directory. If a claim is not on this site, the reason is almost always that nobody has verified it yet, not that the answer is unflattering.

About the company
- Is Complete Home Group the same company as Hostetter Homes?
Yes. The business was founded in 2005 as Hostetter Homes and changed its name to Complete Home Group in 2014. The reason given at the time was that the company had grown past one person and had three lines of work rather than one — construction, property management and landscaping — and the old name reflected neither.
- Who will I actually deal with?
Adam Hostetter owns the business and is on the projects. Beyond that, the honest answer is that it depends on the job, and you will be told on the first call who is running yours. What the company will not do is hand you to someone you have never spoken to after the contract is signed.
- How long has the company been working on Cape Cod?
The business dates from 2005 and is based at 89 S Main St, Centerville, MA 02632. What the public record shows is a long stretch of work with very few reviews attached to it, because until recently there was no website and no social presence — the work came through referrals. That is changing, which is why this site exists.
- What kind of houses do you usually work on?
Cape Cod residential, across the range: year-round family homes in the Barnstable villages, second homes used for part of the year, and new builds. The project photographs on this site are all real jobs — shingle-style houses, kitchens, baths, pools and grounds — rather than stock photography.
